About Stalking Dragons

Minecraft mods forged with purpose

Stalking Dragons is an independent Minecraft modding studio. We design, build and maintain a connected ecosystem of mods, modpacks and datapacks, all open-source, all released publicly on CurseForge and mirrored on GitHub.

This site — the Codex — is our public catalogue and documentation hub. Instead of scattering information across CurseForge pages and README files, it collects every project, its supported versions, its status and (for the mods that need it) a proper explanation of how it works.

Our Philosophy

  • Purpose-driven — Every mod solves a real problem or fills a genuine gap
  • Quality over quantity — Polished code, thorough testing, clean UX
  • Open source — All projects are publicly available
  • Compatibility first — Designed to work alongside other mods

Technology Stack

  • Minecraft — 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and the newer 26.1.2 / 26.2 releases
  • Mod loaders — NeoForge as the primary target, with Fabric builds for select mods
  • Java — 21 for the 1.21.1 branch, 25 for the 26.x branch
  • Build — Gradle, with a shared multi-version project layout
  • Source control — GitLab (canonical) mirrored publicly to GitHub
  • Tooling — a code knowledge-graph (Graphify) and automated CurseForge publishing

What We Build

Our projects fall into a few families:

  • Libraries & APIs — shared foundations other mods depend on (Common Toolkit, Utility Core, Regalia Slots API, Vellumli)
  • Gameplay mechanics — systems that change how the game plays (Equivalent Legacy, Carry Mechanics, Tower Waystone, Teleport Animation)
  • Cosmetics — armor and appearance (Ageforged Armor, Armor Cosmetic)
  • Tools & diagnostics — for pack makers and server admins (Data Miner)
  • Quality-of-life utilities — smaller server- and client-side helpers (Info TAB, Player Activity View, Better Connections, SKD Menu, Workhand Tools, Vault Drawers)

Ecosystem

  • 40 mods — from one-file utilities to full gameplay overhauls
  • 7 modpacks — curated collections on CurseForge
  • 2 datapacks — server-side fixes for our packs
  • 2 resource pack — client-side translations and fixes for our packs
  • Everything is open-source and mirrored on GitHub

Open Source & Ports

Many of our mods are modern, clean-room ports or forks of well-known projects that had been left behind on older Minecraft versions. Every one credits its origin and keeps a compatible licence. When a project's licence does not allow redistribution, we do not ship it.
