Majestic Terrain
Six biomes for six peoples of the Majestic world
Six biomes for six peoples — and one Order of Watchers’ construction in each. Majestic Terrain gives the Overworld a home to every species of the Majestic Bestiary: the hollow the satyrs came out of, the canyon the gnomes were made in, the grove the elves were born under, and the rift the Order should not have opened.
Install this before you generate the world. This mod changes the Overworld’s own generator — its climate table and its relief. Minecraft stores the terrain it has already made, so on an existing world you will see borders where the old terrain ends. That cannot be patched: make a new world, or accept the seams.
The six
| Biome | People | The Order left |
|---|---|---|
| Silverwood Grove | Elves | The Silverwood Ring — a roofless platform older than the Order |
| The Deepvein Delve | Gnomes | The Delve — galleries and a hoist cut into a canyon wall |
| Hornwood Hollow | Satyrs | The Antlered Ring — a buried disc where the Order counted the herd |
| Tauren Plateau | Taurens | Roads End — a paved road that simply stops, at a post and an altar |
| Centaur Fields | Centaurs | The Long Course — boundary markers measured at a run, never finished |
| The Scaled Rift | Draconids | The Binding Ring — a scorched ritual circle with one quarter missing |
Status — two biomes of six
This release ships two of the six biomes, each with its pair of constructions, and both generate:
- Silverwood Grove, the elves’ biome: its own sky, fog, water, weather, carvers and plants — and elves in it, with the occasional Arcane Mage. The Silverwood Ring and the Moonwatch, the elves’ own lookout above the canopy
- The Deepvein Delve, the gnomes’ cold, dry canyon: a terrain that reads as a worked quarry — stepped benches, the resonant vein cut open at every bench edge — with The Delve and the Vein Workshop holding the biome’s Bestiary Leaf, and the Gnome Warren below it, with doors one block wide and not a single light
Biomes land one at a time, and each one only ships after it has been walked through in game.
Finding them
The grove covers about 0.36% of the Overworld’s climate and the Delve about 1.1% (measured on seed 424242), so they are not in the spawn area of most worlds:
/majestic_terrain status
/majestic_terrain probe
/locate biome majestic_terrain:silverwood_grove
Config in majestic_terrain-common.toml, with a switch per biome and one for the custom relief.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.249
- Java 21
Dependencies
- Expedition Core — biome-anchored placement, wide-biome jigsaw, structure protection
- Majestic Core — the blocks the biomes and constructions are built out of
- Majestic Bestiary — required: a biome without its species is an empty place
- GeckoLib — required by Majestic Bestiary
